I drove over 500 miles to get to Rockford, near Chicago to pick up a stage 8 TT I was going to buy to replace my stage 5. I was somewhat disappointed as the car (very nice inside and out I must say) did not feel as strong as a stage 8 should. I have a stage 5 and I was expecting something a bit faster than my car. The stage 8 felt as strong or maybe even weaker than mine. What's uP???? The guy mentioned he did not know how to play with the EVC but when I talked to him before he mentioned the car was all set up and ...anyways, very mad and pissed right now! Another thing that kept me from buying the car was the awful grinding on 2nd and 4th as clearly the synchros were going bad. I had asked the guy before going up there if he had any sort of grinding and he assured me it didn't. I drove it and it did. He then told me it only did it at high rpm's. I was a little ticked. Well, if I was going to pay $ 22,900 for a 93 TT I wanted something perfect, know what I mean???? So I am still on the lookout.
